The Honourable David C. Onley, Lieutenant-Governor of Ontario
is hosting the Lieutenant-Governor’s New Year’s Levee at Fort York National Historic Site. The Levee will be held on Saturday, 1 January 2011 from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. A tradition in Canada since 1646, the Levee is a special opportunity to meet The Queen’s representative in Ontario, and enjoy festive family entertainment and refreshments. Everyone is welcome. For this special occasion, admission is free to Fort York National Historic Site. Plans for the Bicentennial Commemoration of the War of 1812 will be on display. You may also tour the Fort before or after attending the Levee. To allow more time for your visit, the Fort will open one hour before the Levee and close one hour after.
